Rosacea Treatment

If you suffer from rosacea, your dermatologist can be your best defense to keep rosacea under control and well maintained. There is no cure for rosacea, but with proper home care, maintenance and treatment, you can help keep symptoms down and your skin healthy and looking its best. Rosacea treatment options vary depending on the severity and extent of the symptoms.

Signs and Symptoms of Rosacea:

  • Red or flushed face, cheeks, nose or chin
  • Small inflammatory papules or pustules (similar to acne but without comedones)
  • Telangiectasias, or tiny red blood vessels on the face, typically on nose, cheeks and chin
  • Irritated eyes or eyelids (less common than the redness and papules)
  • In rare cases, if left untreated, enlargement and disfiguring of the nose.

Rosacea sufferers typically have skin that is very sensitive so it is important for them to know how to properly care for their skin. If you have rosacea, Gardner Dermatology & Med Spa has the resources and information you need to keep your skin as healthy and comfortable as it can possibly be. Many people have rosacea and don’t even realize they have it. People with mild to moderate rosacea, or rosacea in its early stages, commonly self-diagnose themselves with acne. • Oral medications or antibiotics
  • Home skin care products
  • Laser Therapy
